Bill...

First of all, thanks for watching and sharing your feedback. It's good to know that the messages of the woodworking videos are getting through to viewers like yourself.

My goal in teaching and sharing woodworking is to simplify the process. The beauty of woodworking is that it is loaded with basic, common sense fundamentals. As woodworkers we can use these fundamental practices to make some really great objects with wood.

Continue to learn the basics. Learn basic methods and techniques. Great woodworking is all about understanding the basics and having top notch skills. Now, this does not happen overnight. However, enjoy each experience and learn. Soak it up like a sponge and envision the craftsman that you want to become. Picture in your mind the finished project that you want to build. Then, most of all, enjoy the process. (To me)...The skills that we develop and the methods are much more important than the finished project.

If you want to learn more from these videos, I recommend that you watch them repeatedly. You will learn some things that you may have missed the first time around.

Good Luck,
Bob

Hi Bob,

I just wanted to say thank you. I have watched a number of your videos and never fail to learn something. Your ways of doing things are so common sense, yet I find myself thinking "why didn't I think of that?!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us.
